For 20 years, the Heartland Regional Genetics Network (HRGN) has identified innovative ways to connect patients of all ages and families to genetics services in the Heartland Region.

HRGN works to achieve the best possible outcomes for individuals with heritable disorders and optimize the health of the population throughout the life cycle by improving the understanding and awareness of genetics, expanding access to health care via a wide clinical network and technology, and translating evidence to enhance the quality of care.

More importantly, HRGN engages health care providers, public health professionals, the larger communities, advocates, families, and patients to ensure that it meets patient- and family-centered care goals.
