Investigating the benefits of complementary and alternative medicine on Ehlers Danlos syndrome

The purpose of this study is to investigate the rationale, benefits, and types of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) methods that are being used by people with Ehlers – Danlos syndrome (EDS). The results of this survey will be used to examine CAM methods, benefits to individuals with EDS, and the rationale behind using CAM methods.

To participate in the survey, you must be 18 years of age or older and have a diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos syndrome. By completing the survey, you are consenting to participate in this study.

The link will take you to a 24 question survey that should take less than 30 minutes and could be done in as little as 10 minutes. The survey explores your personal use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) methods such as herbal supplements, acupuncture, and Ayurveda therapy. Participating in this survey is completely voluntary, and all answers are anonymous. At any point during the survey, you may stop taking the survey by clicking the “Exit Survey” button or closing the survey window.

There are no costs to you for participating in this survey. You are not expected to have any risks associated with participating in this survey. However, knowledge of your experiences will provide valuable information that may benefit participants in the future.

At the conclusion of the survey, you may elect to participate in a drawing for two $25 VISA gift cards. To be eligible for the drawing, you must provide an email address so that winners may be contacted.
