Heartland NBS ECHO Series 2024

The Series includes three sessions:

Session 1: Newborn Screening for Congenital Hypothyroidism: The Frequently Misunderstood Screen on January 11, 2024, from 1-2 pm CST
Session 2: Newborn Screening for Cystic Fibrosis: The “Old” but “New” Condition on February 16, 2024, from 12-1 pm CST
Session 3: Newborn Screening for Mucopolysaccharidosis type II (MPS II): A New and Mighty Disorder on March 13, 2024 from 1-2 pm, CST

These Newborn Screening conditions were chosen through regional surveys and the Heartland ECHO Hub Team. The ECHO training offered will include the etiology and importance of early treatment from a specialist, case presentation along with an interactive group discussion, long-term follow-up needs, and counseling/support provided to families.
