Main Clinic: This is the clinic, usually at a major medical center and/or medical university, where the geneticists and genetic counselors have the majority of their clinics and their offices.
Outreach Clinic: This is a clinic located at a location outside the main genetics clinic. The genetics team travels by airplane or car on a regular basis to see patients. The clinic may be coordinated by the main genetics office or by staff at the outreach clinic site.
Telemedicine Clinic: This is a clinic located at a location other than the main genetics clinic. The patient meets with the geneticist or genetic counselors via interactive video. Typically, the telemedicine clinic is closer to the patient than the main clinic site.
