Should I Get Genetic Testing for Melanoma?

Protecting oneself from skin cancer is vital and the most serious skin cancer is melanoma. 10% of the time it is due to a genetic change one was born with that increases risk. Multiple melanomas in the family, certain moles, and pancreatic cancer can all be potential risk factors that may warrant genetic testing for genes like CDKN2A and BAP1.
