Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia and 1/3 of those with mild cognitive impairment may develop Alzheimer’s. Having a 1st degree relative or multiple family members with the disease can double one’s risk. Thankfully there are many ways to screen, rule out, or monitor the progression of this diagnosis.
